Earlier this week, Hops on the Road was nominated for a Sunshine Blogger Award by Tara of Love, Wine & Sunshine. As a nominee, I was asked to answer 11 questions from Tara, and then nominate 11 other bloggers and ask them questions.

Here are my nominees:

Endless Distances

“Hi there! I’m Sarah. Welcome to Endless Distances, where I write about how I try to make daily life an adventure. I love to travel, but I’m not one of those “quit your job and travel the world” types – instead, I’m on a mission to fit travel and adventure into my everyday. I started this blog as a way to keep in touch with family and friends while I live abroad, to keep my writing skills sharp, and to pressure myself into doing exciting things (so I can write about them, obvi).”

Em’s on the Road

Em on the RoadEm's+on+the+Road

“After a few years of living in Maui, I returned to my roots in the deep South. Em’s on the Road began as a vehicle for documenting what captured me during my rediscovery of the South and my study of historic preservation. I have wandered throughout the South capturing both characteristic and rare attributes of the region and sharing the beautiful, weird, and unique places I discovered along the way. Traveling abroad is wonderful. I will get on an airplane at the drop of a hat if I can swing it; however, budgets and schedules don’t always allow for jet-setting. If my immersion back into the South and preservation studies taught me anything, it is that there is a lot to see and celebrate in the United States. Every city has a unique story and identity…. something that makes people care about it and stand out from the crowd. That is what I want to show at Em’s on the Road – cities and small towns with one of a kind businesses, buildings, and people with a story.”

SightDOING with The Girl and Globe

“I’m Becky and I believe travel is more meaningful when you’re immersed and engaged! If you’d rather be sightDOING than sightseeing, you’re in the right place. My goal is to share stories, travel tips, and inspiration so you can plan your own adventures around the globe.”

The Epicurean Traveler

“Hi, I’m Erin, and welcome to my blog! I’m a Michigan girl who desires to live a life of culinary adventure and cultural exploration. My goal is to share the positive restaurant experiences I’ve had — in Grand Rapids and on the road — with my readers. My hope is that these reviews help you to plan a more complete trip itinerary that includes where to eat in your destination.”

Meander & Coast

“I’m Carla, and I’ve loved the water since the first time I opened an ocean picture book. My family and I are exploring the world’s coasts, along with all the places in-between. Looking for saltwater, freshwater, or even frozen water (for the skiing family members)? You’ll find it all here at M&C.”

The Budget Backpack

“I’m Katie and welcome to The Budget Backpack! I was bit by the wanderlust bug sometime in 2010 and since then, the travel fever has just grown stronger and stronger. You would think that low funds and travel don’t mix, but I’m finding ways to make it work. Join me as I find ways to take great trips on the cheap! Let’s talk tips, tricks, hacks, and ideas.”

“I’m Kylie and this is my Travel & Lifestyle blog! I’m a British girl, with an American husband, blogging about the USA visa process, expat life and active travel in the American Midwest and beyond! My aim is to show people how to maximise a short amount of time in a destination with my tried and tested Mini Guide Travel Itineraries!”

The World Incorporated

“Hi! I’m Amanda! A career woman with a travel addiction. Fueled by weekends and vacation days. For a long time I didn’t think I could balance a full-time job and travel the world. I’m doing both, and I’m sharing my secrets & stories so you can do the same. The World Incorporated is a travel blog that encourages the everyday workaholic to depart from their desk and maximize their vacation time to travel the world. Yes, it is possible to travel the world with a full time job. Yes, there are ways to incorporate more travel into your busy working world.”

Anne Parris – Not a Super Mom

“I love being a mother, but I’m pretty sure I’m not very good at it. People tell me I’m a good mom, but I wish they wouldn’t pat my shoulder when they said it. I have four kids at home and one husband, who is Ricky to my Lucy. He puts up with late dinners, occasional clean underpants shortages, and my madcap schemes.”

Jen Goode’s 100 Directions

“I am the owner and doodler in charge of JGoode Designs, a design studio. I am a mother of 3, wife, daughter, sister, Colorado native (4th generation), artist, geek, social media addict, pack-rat, paper snob, fan of cheesecake and milkshakes and a whole slew of other things. I truly believe everyone has a creative side. Sometimes you just need to define creativity to find it for yourself. Whether crafting, traveling or enjoying a meal with friends or family, I think a daily goal to find a little extra happy requires some creative thinking sometimes. I strive to share ideas that will inspire those happy moments and creative mojo.”

Little Lottie

Little Lottiethailand-travel-swing1

“Hi, I’m Charlotte. In 2015 I realized life wasn’t quite what I dreamed it would be, so I changed things forever and never looked back. With a profound and insatiable thirst for adventure, I jetted off on a spontaneous trip to Thailand, exploring each island and following the footsteps of thousands of other curious free spirits. Soul searching in the beautiful land of smiles opened my eyes, now traveling on a one-way ticket to paradise I’m preparing to document each new page of my journey on Little Lottie, my solo budget travel blog!”
